Essential Beauty Academy Appeal & Procedures Policy
Policy Statement
Essential Beauty Academy is committed to ensuring fairness and transparency in all academic and administrative processes. This policy outlines the procedures for students to appeal decisions made by the academy, ensuring that all appeals are handled fairly, promptly, and in accordance with established guidelines.
Scope
This policy applies to all students enrolled at Essential Beauty Academy.
1. Grounds for Appeal
Students may appeal decisions related to:
- Academic evaluations (grades, assessments)
- Disciplinary actions (suspensions, expulsions)
- Administrative decisions (financial aid, enrollment status)
2. Appeal Process
Step 1: Informal Resolution
Students are encouraged to first discuss their concerns with the relevant faculty member or administrator. This informal discussion may resolve the issue without the need for a formal appeal.
Step 2: Formal Appeal Submission
If the issue is not resolved informally, students may submit a formal appeal. The appeal must be submitted in writing and include:
- A clear statement of the decision being appealed
- The grounds for the appeal
- Any supporting documentation
- The desired outcome
Appeals must be submitted within 10 business days of the decision being communicated to the student.
Step 3: Review of Appeal
Upon receipt of the formal appeal, the designated appeals committee will review the submission. The committee will consist of faculty members, administrative staff, and student representatives.
The committee may request additional information or meet with the student to discuss the appeal.
Step 4: Decision
The appeals committee will make a decision based on the review of the appeal and any additional information gathered. The student will be notified of the decision in writing within 15 business days of the appeal submission.
Step 5: Final Appeal
If the student is not satisfied with the decision of the appeals committee, they may submit a final appeal. Further details of this step (e.g., who reviews it, timeline) can be added as needed.
